Dr. Maneet Kaur did her MBBS from Shri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar.
She topped the Punjab PG entrance exam and went ahead to pursue MD in Radiodiagnosis from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana. During her training, she got interested in the field of fetal medicine and did fellowship in fetal imaging from Mediscan Systems Chennai.

It is mandatary to carry doctor’s requisition slip which mentions the scan clearly and is duly stamped. A government issued identity card with pregnant patient’s current address and photograph are an absolute must.
You may carry all old reports as these may be required by the doctor to assess interval change
it is advisable to book a prior appointment and adhering to time slot. This helps us to ensure for smoother workflow and reduction of waiting times. However, sometimes it is not possible for us to take up patients in designated time slots because of emergencies or if some scans take much longer than expected due to complications. Rest assured we are always trying our best to ensure smooth workflow.
Have proper food before going to the clinic. Full bladder is not required.
During a fetal scan, your baby may be in any position—facing up, down, or turned sideways. Sometimes, we need to wait for the baby to move into an optimal position to assess all organs thoroughly. This is especially common during NT scans, anomaly scans, and fetal echocardiography, which can take longer than expected.
To ensure a smooth experience, it’s best to keep your schedule open on the day of your scan. In a fetal medicine clinic, “babies are the bosses”—and they always teach us the art of patience!
For most of the scans, the report is issued within 30 minutes of completion of scan. In certain cases the report time mmay be delayed. However, whenever there is such unexpected delay, you will be intimated.
Performing the scan requires skill and concentration. So the doctor may be quiet for short periods of time which is entirely normal. After the initial test and measurements are complete, the baby will be shown to the expecting parents and explained.
